Here’s a description of the movie:
In 1984, a group of LGBT activists decide to raise money to support the National Union of Mineworkers during their lengthy strike against the Thatcher government. There is only one problem: the Union seems embarrassed to receive their support.
2nd Movie Screening
Set in an alternate socialist USA which, despite its peaceful Leftist revolution, has continued to fail working class women, people of color and sexual minorities, Born in Flames is a startlingly prescient documentary-style fiction film, depicting the labor of marginalized communities, and their organization and rebellion against oppressive forces.
New flyer!
