After a great series of screenings, we are having our final open-air movie screening upcoming Saturday, the 15th of October.
Starting time: 19:30.
We will be throwing a party afterwards, feel free to invite people to join the fun!

After this finale, we might take a break for few weeks but we want to continue later at an indoors location.

We will be watching The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, a road comedy film.
As always, dress warm, bring your friends, comrades, snacks and drinks! Also, bring your bike lights (intended as party decoration). Here's the location : https://spaceinvadercinema.noblogs.org/location
Ps: don't park your bike visibly on the road.

Film description:
The Adventures of Priscilla (1994, 103min) follows two drag queens and a transgender woman, as they journey across the Australian Outback from Sydney to Alice Springs in a tour bus that they have named "Priscilla", along the way encountering various groups and individuals.

Special documentary screening!

Posted on 2022/10/01 - 2022/10/01 by spaceinvadercinema

Coming Saturday, the 8th of October, at 19:30, we are holding a special screening featuring 3 radical short documentaries: Machines in Flames, How to Disappear, and There is a Prison Around Here? The topics are IT worker resistance, army desertion and prison escape. Here’s how to get there.

Don’t forget that the cinema is outside, so bring something warm if you want to stay cosy. Bring your friends too! We may or may not have snacks and drinks so be prepared and bring something to share. Have you made a movie or video which you want to screen? Or do you have a recommendation or something to say to an audience? Drop us a line at: spaceinvadercinema aτ riseup doτ net

Film descriptions:

Machines in Flames (2022, 50min) finds a secret history of self-destruction by following the footsteps of a clandestine group of French computer workers from the 1980s.

How to Disappear (2020, 21min) is a tribute to disobedience and desertion, searching for possibilities for peace in the most unlikely place of an online war game.

There is a Prison out Here? (2022, 14min) investigates online prison escape footage and German law with a bit of political theory, unearthing the meaning and the critical value of prison escapes.
